What a price breaker: the Metapace S-3 radio transmission scan-

ner-imager is the perfect market-entry scanner. Its integrated CCD

engine quickly and reliably performs up to 270 scans per second of

standard 1D barcodes. The integrated radio transmission technology

gives it a generous range of motion with a radius up to 15 m. Beyond

this range the scanner saves your barcodes automatically and trans-

fers them at the push of a button once you are back within range.

The scanner signals are transmitted directly to a USB dongle. Simply

insert the USB dongle and start scanning!

Its powerful battery easily lasts an entire shift: perform up to 70,000

scans with one charge. This increases productivity at the workplace, plus

saves the user from the annoying task of battery changes during work

hours. Charge the battery with the included cable. A particularly practical

feature is the triple feedback for loud or poorly lit working environments:

If you are looking for a mar-

the Metapace S-61 laser scanner is the

right one for you. It is especially well-suited

for applications involving medium levels of scanning, for example in

retail. Easy integration via USB keeps things simple for you.

It accurately and quickly reads all common 1D barcodes with its highly

developed laser engine (72 scan lines/sec.). Due to its single-line laser

technology precise targeting during barcode capture from lists and

menus is a breeze. To extend the life of the laser there is a blink scan

mode available, in which the laser pulses. The S-61 is equipped with a

large scanning ﬁeld as a CCD scanner, while the scanning distance and

maximum width are determined by the resolution. Users value its ergo-

nomic housing and its light weight, which also makes longer operation

less tiresome. The scanner also withstands an accidental drop without

negative effects.

For everyone who shies away from the change to 2D scanning

because of costs, but who desperately needs it, Metapace offers

the 2D area imager S-62. With an attractive price tag and the latest

technology it is the ideal way to break into the 2D barcode business,

plus it is a secure investment for the future. It promises increased

efﬁciency and a highly expanded application spectrum, compared to

laser scanners and 1D imagers.

The S-62 masters medium scanning volumes of printed barcodes

in all areas with ease. It additionally captures digital barcodes from

monitors and mobile device displays. This greatly expands the areas

of application of the S-62: for mobile ticketing applications in the air-

line and train industries this feature is a must. This also applies to the

POS in retail for coupons and other mobile marketing activities. For

this reason, its white lighting is easy on the eyes.

The S-62 reads all common 1D barcodes, 2D codes, PDF 417, postal

and stacked codes reliably and quickly. Thanks to its green or red

LED scan conﬁrmation and additional beeper, the S-62 clearly and

immediately shows the scan result. This saves from double scanning,

while increasing productivity. The imager has a particularly high rea-

ding rate, even with poorly printed, faded or damaged barcodes. The

two modes of operation (handheld and presentation scanning) open

additional application areas to you. Both the classical handheld mode,

as well as the presentation mode for hands-free scanning supports

users with automatic object recognition in their daily work. Included

in the delivery standard is a holder for the scanner, which guarantees

secure footing when used as a presentation scanner.

Connect the S-62 area imager easily via USB. The connector cable

with integrated USB hub is available from stock. Therefore you can

also connect the imager even when there is no free USB port. Due

to its ergonomic grip, intuitive trigger and light weight of only 120

grams, the S-62 area imager successfully prevents scanning fatigue.

Finding more will be difﬁcult: the S-22 area imager

from Metapace reads all common 1D and 2D bar-

codes very fast, thanks to its proven high perfor-

mance scan engine, yet offers a good value for the

money. At the same time, it offers almost unlimited

freedom of movement. Depending on the environ-

ment, the wireless data transmission works up to

90 meters between the scanner and base station,

via Bluetooth class 2. This increases the working

range, ﬂexibility, and user productivity signiﬁcantly. Move with

the S-22 in a large area, such as throughout the store and in the

warehouse, totally free and with almost no thought to the base

station connection. Outside of its range, the S-22 stores the cap-

tured barcodes until the scanner is back in range.

In order to guarantee no interruptions during particularly long peri-

ods of use, the power management has been adapted to the strong

engine and the Bluetooth interface - a property that is often neglec-

ted in other Bluetooth scanners. The powerful battery lasts and lasts

and lasts and lasts - up to 16 hours at a time, much longer than a full

shift. The total number of batteries needed thus falls, contributing to

cost reduction.

In combination with the integrated transfer station, which at the

same time also acts as a stand, also conveniently use the S-22 as

Metapace S-22

Just unpack and get started - the S-22 also follows this Metapace

strategy: the complete package includes the USB interface cable,

power adapter, a CD with all the drivers and extensive documen-

tation, and, of course, the cradle. The robust and stylish charging

and transfer cradle is optimized in its properties with the high radius

of 90 m.

You will ﬁnd perfectly designed features not only in its scanning and

transmission, but also its handling and design were worked out in

great detail, so that the S-22 also ergonomically leaves comparable

hardware in the shade. While the outstanding optics are fully packed

with innovative technology, its weight is kept to a minimum with

185 grams.

Its handling is optimized for all applications and changing users - even

after long periods of use, the user will be thrilled. However, the mate-

rials used in the S-22 are not solely inﬂuenced by design speciﬁca-

tions, but rather the robust elements guarantee continuous operation

even in the most demanding environments. Within the temperature

range of 0° to 50° C, the S-22 delivers uncompromising performance.

The housing also forgives accidental droppings from a height up to

1.2 m without any reduction in scanning function.
